1. Overview of Your Deletion Rights
In accordance with the Google Play Developer Program Policies, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and applicable privacy laws, users of Lanvars (available on the web at lanvars.com and mobile on Android under package com.lanvars.app) have the full right to delete their account and request the permanent erasure of their personal data at any time.
2. Methods to Delete Your Account
You can request account and data deletion using any of the following three methods:
Method 1: In the Mobile App
Open the Lanvars Android App → Go to Dashboard / Profile → Select Settings → Under Account, select Delete Account and confirm your password.
Method 2: Web Deletion Form
You do not need to be logged into the app. Fill out the official Account Deletion Request Form below with your registered account email.
Method 3: Email Our Privacy Desk
Send an email to privacy@lanvars.com or support@lanvars.com from your registered email address with the subject "Account Deletion Request".
3. Types of Data Deleted
When an account is deleted, the following personal data is permanently expunged from our active production systems and database:
- Profile Identification: Your full name, username, email address, password hash, biography, contact details, and profile avatar image.
- Editorial Content: Published articles, opinion essays, drafts, story summaries, and featured article cover assets associated with your author ID.
- Engagement History: Article views, claps, bookmarks, comments, following and follower relationships.
- Community Communications: Direct chat messages, conversation threads, and platform notification alerts.
- Session & Push Data: Active authentication tokens, push notification registration tokens (OneSignal ID), and browser cookies.
4. Data Retention and Exceptions
We do not retain personal identifying information after account deletion, except strictly under the following narrow circumstances required by applicable law:
- Financial & Tax Compliance: If you generated client invoices through the Lanvars Invoicing suite or received creator partner monetary payouts, records of completed transactions are retained strictly for the statutory period mandated by financial accounting, anti-money laundering (AML), and tax audit laws (typically up to 5–7 years). These records are isolated, encrypted, and never used for marketing or profiling.
- Security Logs: Server access and firewall logs containing anonymized IP addresses may be retained in encrypted backup archives for up to 90 days for fraud detection and platform security diagnostics before being permanently overwritten.
5. Processing Timeline
Upon submitting your deletion request:
- Your account is immediately deactivated and rendered inaccessible.
- All personal data associated with your profile is permanently erased within 14 to 30 calendar days.
- A confirmation email is dispatched to your registered address once the deletion lifecycle is concluded.
