Chapter One: The Man Everyone Trusted
I was eleven when I stopped feeling safe in my own home.
Everyone loved Uncle Femi. My mother trusted him, my siblings adored him, and the neighbours praised him for being such a good family friend.

Uncle Femi was getting married.
And my mother wanted me to be his chief bridesmaid.
I stared at the invitation, my hands trembling.
Then I saw the bride's name.
My younger sister.
