My name is Ada, I am 24 years old. I worked as a cleaner in his company.
Every morning, I cleaned the CEO's office before 6 a.m. I never spoke to his son, Femi. He was handsome, wealthy, but incredibly arrogant.
One morning, I made a terrible mistake. I accidentally spilled water on his important file.
My hands were shaking. "I am so sorry, sir! I am very sorry!"
He looked at me from head to toe with disgust and said, "Are you blind? Do you know how much this contract is worth? You could never afford it in your lifetime."
I started to cry. At that exact moment, my phone rang. It was the hospital. My mother's surgery money was not complete. We were still short of 300,000 naira.
I knelt down and begged him not to sack me.
He was silent for about two minutes, staring at me. Then he said something that shocked me to my bones.
"Marry me for six months. I will give you five million naira. My father refuses to hand over the company to me unless I am married."
I thought it was a joke. Five million naira?
My mother was in the hospital dying. My younger brother had been sent out of school. And I was just a cleaner earning 40,000 naira a month.
I looked into his eyes. Was this man my destiny helper or my biggest mistake?
I said YES.
What I didn't know was that his ex-girlfriend was still living inside his mansion, and she was not ready to leave.
