### Fresher Diary: The Secret of Room 12
Chapter 2 – The Knock at Midnight
The night was unusually quiet.
Amara sat on her bed, scrolling through her phone, while her roommate, Jennifer, slept peacefully.
Suddenly…
Knock! Knock! Knock!
Amara froze.
Someone was knocking on their door.
"Jennifer, wake up," she whispered.
Jennifer turned around sleepily. "What's wrong?"
"Someone is outside."
Jennifer checked the time. It was exactly 12:00 midnight.
"Don't open it," Jennifer whispered, her voice trembling.
"Why?"
Jennifer slowly sat up.
"Because nobody is supposed to be in Room 12 after midnight."
Amara laughed nervously. "What kind of joke is that?"
Before Jennifer could answer, Amara's phone vibrated.
A message appeared from an unknown number.
UNKNOWN NUMBER: Amara, don't trust your roommate. She knows what happened to the last girl who lived here.
Amara slowly turned towards Jennifer.
But Jennifer was no longer on her bed.
She was standing beside the door, smiling.
"Amara," she whispered, "you shouldn't have read that message."
Suddenly, the door handle began to turn.
And someone outside whispered:
"Let me in. I'm the real Jennif

Chapter 3 – The Girl Outside the Door
Amara stood frozen.
Her eyes moved from Jennifer, who was standing beside the door, to the voice coming from outside.
"Amara, please! Open the door!" the voice cried.
It sounded exactly like Jennifer.
Amara's heart began to race.
"Jennifer," she whispered, "who is outside?"
The girl beside her smiled.
"Don't listen to her. She's trying to trick you."
Suddenly, Amara's phone rang.
It was an unknown number.
With trembling fingers, she answered.
A weak female voice spoke.
"Amara, listen carefully. The girl inside your room is not your roommate."
Amara swallowed hard.
"Who are you?"
"I'm the girl who lived in Room 12 last session. My name is Cynthia. I disappeared three months ago."
Before Amara could ask another question, Cynthia continued.
"There's something hidden under your bed. Find it before midnight."
The call ended.
Amara quickly bent down and reached under her bed. Her fingers touched something cold.
It was a small black diary.
She opened it.
On the first page, someone had written:
"If you're reading this, it means Room 12 has chosen you."
She turned to the next page.
There was a photograph of three girls standing together.
One was Cynthia.
Another was Jennifer.
But the third girl…
Amara screamed.
It was her.
The photograph was dated five years before she was born.
Behind her, the girl pretending to be Jennifer whispered:
"Now you understand why we brought you here."
The lights went off.
And somewhere inside the darkness, a voice laughed.
"Welcome back, Ama
ra."
